A burn is a wound that occurs when the skin comes into contact with extreme temperatures (both heat and cold). A burn can present itself in different degrees of severity. In addition to scars, burns can also cause problems in fluid balance, also known as edema. Edema can be treated by means of edema therapy.
The structure of burn scars can be improved by means of fractional laser therapy. This treatment stimulates the production of collagen, which will smoothen the skin and will give it a more even appearance.
