A milia is a blockage of the sebaceous or sweat glands and looks like a small white grain, just under the skin. This harmless lesion causes an irregular and disfiguring/mar effect on the skin.
Acne therapy A millia can be treated in various ways. The skin therapist uses a needle to make a small opening in the skin. Then, the hardened sebum is gently pushed/pressed out of the cavity. Removal of a milia is part of an acne treatment.
Electro coagulation Electro coagulation can also be used for the removal of a milia. The sebum is softened with a hot needle. The body will drain al the remains. The skin therapists at Huidzorg Delft are happy to advise you with a tailor-made treatment plan.
